First batch of updates:

Overload
  • Fixed bomb not spawning after the 2nd gate goes down.
  • Fixed the Unbound Horror not spawning.
  • Lowered the round length per team to 10m down from 15m.

Talents
  • Fixed people getting all passive talents regardless of their spec. You should now have only the talents you're supposed to in BG's now.

We still need heavy testing of both Talents and Overload. Please try to break Overload if you can!

  • Migrated the PvP matches over to our new server (faster, better, stronger). Hopefully this will provide noticeable performance updates. Report on how it plays for you!

  • A second wave of adds should no longer spawn when the Unbound Horror is killed.
  • Team time scoreboard should hopefully display proper values now.
  • If the second round lasts longer the first did (because the first team killed the giant), the game will now terminate, since at that point the second round offense can not possibly win faster than the first round team did.
  • Towers now no longer shoot inside of each other when players are inside of them. A small 'safe range' was implemented that should keep the towers shooting 'out' instead of in.
  • Extra horses, giants, monsters, etc are now properly removed from the map after the end of the rounds; so there shouldn't be any double-giant action going on.
  • Maximum round length increased back to 15m from 10m.
  • Loka should be better aware of the team balance in BGs now and, provided there are people queued, should better balance itself once again.

Talents
  • Use of talents no longer uses chat messages that invariably spam you with Activated/Worn off/Available messages. Just look to see if they're coal or not.
  • Also note that the length of your talent when activated is visible in your XP bar in Battlegrounds.
  • Inventory order preferences are temporarily disabled while I figure out why they weren't 100% working.

  • Team time should display proper now. Turns out I was still adding kills to that score, oops.

General
  • Chat messages should be received from Loka when on the PvP server now.

  • The number of arrows dropped by a player upon death has been increased from 10% to 20%
  • Stats tracking for Overload has now begun (same as VotA). Overloads are worth 3 points, kills 1 point, and deaths -1 point.

Generic
  • Arrow accuracy is now being tracked.

Overload - Big fun changes!
  • The Defense's first (and contested) spawn point has been pushed back to halfway between the second and third gates.
  • As a result, upon the beginning of the match, the Defense will be let out of their door 10 seconds earlier in order to have an equal chance of defending the first gates.
  • Towers no longer shoot impossibly accurate fireballs, but now shoot primed TNT that explodes after 2-3 seconds on the ground.

  • Upon respawning, all players are granted 40% extra damage for 15 seconds to discourage spawn camping.
  • The bomb carrier is properly reset upon the end of a round, fixing the bug where it would not properly be tracked when the next round started.

Talents
  • Cooldowns are meant to persist through death. Upon respawning, if your talent ability is on cooldown, it will reflect as such (as coal) rather than appearing fresh each time you respawn.

I suppose I could add 5-7 seconds of that too, enough to get you started but not enough to allow you to rush the other team with it. It might help with a lot of the fall-damage based drops there are in Overload.

  • Upon respawn, in addition to the 40% damage gain for 15 seconds, players will have 7 seconds of invincibility in order to assist with spawn camping as well as the multitude of fall-damage drops that there are in Overload/VotA.

Overload
  • The Final spawn point for Offense is now at the 2nd gate (just like the 1st), rather than at the Defense's first spawn point. This should ease the backtracking required to pick up the bomb as well as be less confusing for offense players new to the game.
  • The Unbound Horror's health has been reduced.
  • The number of monsters spawned during the bossfight has been reduced.
  • Added a bit of how-to info in the game.
  • Perhaps hopefully fixed Unbound Horrornot spawning during round two.
  • Defense cannot damage their own Unbound Horror

Talents
  • Explosive arrow should no longer damage and knockback friendlies.
  • Lunge's Double Damage attack now has a sound effect (Blaze Hit)

  • Hardened now grants Prot IV to all gear instead of just Chest/Boots.

  • Defense is now let out 15 seconds before Offense when the rounds start, up from 10.
  • Defense should be properly let out early during the start of the 2nd round as well.
  • Time between rounds was extended to 30 seconds, up from 10
  • All arrows dropped by killed players should be able to be picked up now.

FINALLY!
  • Chat links with tooltips finally implemented allowing custom use of the hover and click events etc. What does it mean? Don't have to type /join, /joinparty, etc anymore when queued for pvp matches. Just click!
